If your Company Can’t be found on Google it’s like a Needle in a Haystack.

Blog 3 – If your Company Can’t be Found on Google it’s like a Needle in a Haystack

Since I’ve started DMC Consultancy, I’ve tried to think of a quote to match our business mantra. It’s taken me four months to finally, come up with a sentence that explains this blog.

Businesses may have websites but unless it easily found while searching on the internet; it’s just like looking for a needle in a haystack. To clarify the importance of this, the statistics speak for themselves:

“Over 40,000 search queries Google processes every second on average, over 3.5 billion searches per day, and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide as listed by Internet”

These statistics show just how important Google ranking is to companies operating in today’s markets.

There are many different factors that increase Google rankings. I know that you receive spam emails daily from companies offering to get you on the firsts page of google but from experience, this is impossible unless you follow a few guidelines. My advice is to ignore these and speak to a professional regarding the status of your website before spending money on trying to rank. If it doesn’t tick the Google boxes, it’s an impossibility.

At DMC Consultancy, we pride ourselves in building websites to a standard that is Google friendly and will rank highly. This is not something that can be done overnight, it takes continued maintenance and strategies to achieve this goal.

Firstly, your website must be up-to-date with all the current coding. If your website is old, it will be lost. It must be GDPR compliant with SEO taking centre stage when building the website using keywords to increase awareness of your products or services.

There are secure websites and non-secure websites. If your site is non-secure Google will not rank it. Your domain name is one of the most important attributes as it is what Google looks for once a search has entered Google.

There multiple other factors that can be introduced to ensure your company continues to rank such as AdWords, Website updates, etc. We encourage companies to engage in our monthly maintenance services because our monthly reports speak for themselves.

All the above may sound like small changes but they are imperative for your website to show centre stage. I would recommend that any business trading today take note of the above.

A new website may cost your company initially, but it may be the difference in doubling or even trebling your company’s turnover. So, in my personal opinion its money well spent.

Until next Time!

  1. Hello! I know this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does building a well-established blog such as yours require a large
amount of work? I’m brand new to blogging however I
do write in my diary daily. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share
my personal experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for new aspiring blog

    1. Hello, Thank you for your reply. You just need to implement a wordpress program.
I cant quote you for this, once you have access to your blog then your ready to go.
It does not take alot of work, obviously it takes time writing the content.
Once your blog is live, you will have an admin username and password to login too and then you just begin writing.
Best of luck. If you require any further information just pop me an email directly – danielle@dmcconsultancy.com
